Privacy note
Short version: we only collect what you choose to send us, we use it to tell you about Humanify It, and we never sell it.
What we collect
- If you join the list, pre-order a kit or ask to hear when your trade is ready: your email address.
- If you register a tool: your name, your email address, your tool's name and its website.
We don't ask for anything else, and this site doesn't set cookies.
The Get fitted quiz
Your quiz answers never leave your browser. The quiz runs entirely on the page: your answers are held in the page's memory while you answer, and your kit page keeps them in the web address after the # sign. Browsers don't send that part of the address to any website, so neither we nor anyone else receives your answers. Nothing is stored on your device and no cookies are set. If you share or bookmark your kit page's address, the answers go with it.
The measurements card is a template you copy. The copy button only uses your clipboard when you press it.
Why we collect it
- Your email address is used to send you updates about Humanify It, including when we add new tools and trades. If you pre-ordered a kit, we'll also use it to tell you when that kit is ready. If you asked to hear when your trade is ready, we'll tell you when it is.
- Tool details are used to review your tool for listing and to contact you about it.
We rely on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where it goes
- Email list: when you join, you finish signing up on the page for our newsletter, Sutra and Signal, which is run on beehiiv. beehiiv stores your email address for us and sends our emails. That page is beehiiv's, and their privacy policy applies to it. We record that you came from this site so we know the sign-up came from Humanify It. Pre-order emails are held by beehiiv in the same way: the pre-order page also records which kit and price you picked (for example, the Salon Kit at £4.99), so we know which kits people want. There's no payment and we don't take any card details.
- Tool registrations: the form is processed by FormSubmit, which emails your details to our team inbox. FormSubmit may show a spam check (reCAPTCHA) when you send the form.
- Hosting: this site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub may keep basic technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your details, and we don't share them with anyone except the services named above, which handle them on our behalf.
Visitor numbers
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites. It tells us things like how many people visited and which pages they looked at, without identifying you. It records the page address without the part after the # sign, so it never sees your quiz answers.
Unsubscribing and deletion
- Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- To see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, email morebetterstudios@agentmail.to and we'll deal with it.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
